My Kid's 1st Visit

The fun is just beginning

Visiting Families

We have designed this page to help you know what to expect as a parent when you bring your child to Highpoint Church. We know that visiting a new church can be a confusing experience and we truly desire to make it as friendly and easy as possible for you as you explore what Highpoint has to offer. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact one of our Highpoint Kids Directors - Amber Ramsey (Highpoint Kids Director) or Jessica Stancil (Highpoint Kids Coordinator) at 901.762.0071.

What should I Expect?

When you walk up to Highpoint Church you will notice the HP Kids entrance to the right of the courtyard. When you enter the HP Kids area, you will see the Registration table directly in front of you.  Step up to the registration table for First Time Guests, and one of our hosts will help you get checked in and to the appropriate classroom.  All children, birth through 6th grade will check in at this registration desk.

We will ask you to fill out a short information form, so that we can care for your family.  Don't worry, we will not show up at your door!  We will enter your child's name and birthday into our computer system, assign them to the appropriate classroom, and print out a name tag for each child.  You will receive a security sticker.  The number on this security sticker matches a number on your child's name tag.  We will use this number to find you in the service if we need you for any reason by putting the number up on the screen. When you pick up your child, you will show your security sticker at the security station and to your child's teacher.  The teacher will make sure your number matches the number on your child's sticker to assure each child goes home with the correct family.

What time should I show up?

We are ready to accept children at 8:45am for the 9:00am service and remain open until 12:00pm after the 10:45am service. Your kids are welcome the entire time!

For kids in 5th and 6th grade, we have Highway 56. Highway 56 only meets during the 10:45 service. 5th and 6th graders go to the worship service at 9:00.

What if my child is older than 6th grade?

Our Student Ministry offers exciting opportunities for kids in 7th through 12th grade.
