Highway 56

5th and 6th Grade

Highway 56 is where kids in 5th and 6th grade can come to walk through the bible in a fun and relevant way.  The leaders of Highway 56 desire for your child to walk away with a better understanding of the bible from start to finish, so they can know what they believe and how that impacts their daily lives at school and home.  Kids will learn what it means to have a priority time and emphasizes the importance of a strong biblical foundation. They can tackle what God says about some of the tough issues kids in 5th and 6th grade are facing as they begin to enter the Middle School years. 

Highway 56 meets ONLY during the 10:45 service hour.  We encourage 5th and 6th graders to worship during the 9:00 hour.  They can even sit together with the leaders if desired in the middle section right behind the youth.

Partnering with Parents

Each week your child will bring home a rest area sheet, which will help them learn to have a priority time and prepare for the lesson the following Sunday. Please use this sheet to talk to your kids during the week about what they are learning in Highway 56. Your child will also have monthly memory projects.  Encourage your 5th or 6th grader to memorize the material and learn to apply the bible truths to his/her life.
